Admissions

How to Apply

Applications are reviewed and acceptances are offered on a rolling basis. For the best chance of admission for the start of a new school year, we encourage families to complete the application process by February 1st.

Schedule a visit to Rainard for you and your child on a typical school day. You will tour our campus, view relevant classes and speak with an admissions team member about Rainard.

Admissions Inquiry Form

Complete and submit your application, Include the following items:

  • Evidence of giftedness, typically an IQ test or letter from the current school stating your child has been accepted to their gifted program
  • Academic records for the last two years, including report cards or transcripts and standardized test results
  • Teacher Recommendation Forms
  • An application fee of $100.00

If not already completed and your child is not in a gifted program, have your child’s IQ tested. Our admissions team accepts the majority of the tests of knowledge and cognitive skills typically used for IQ testing.

Note: Each child is more than a score on a test. IQ results are only one factor that our admissions team uses in evaluating a child for admission. Following best practice in gifted education, we look at the full-scale IQ score as well as the composite score. We encourage you to discuss any IQ results with our admissions team.

Schedule a day for your child to attend classes on a typical school day. Your child will be able to experience and evaluate our school, and our teachers will also provide an evaluation of your child within the context of our learning environment for our admissions team.
