About Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

In alignment with Gov. Greg Abbott announced Friday, April 17, 2020, that public and private school classrooms will remain closed for the remainder of the school year to avoid quickening the spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.

We know these are unprecedented times, but Rainard is successfully teaching our gifted students remotely. I’m pleased to share one of the platforms used during this time is Zoom. All of our students have live Zoom interactions, daily, with their teachers, including Art, Music, PE, and Yoga. Our youngest learners even have Story Time each week!

We’re supporting our parents during this time as well. Teachers continue to have conference periods for parents, allowing them to email, text or call with questions or for additional guidance for their child’s lessons.

Thank you, Faculty and Staff, for taking the time to prepare for remote learning. It’s not easy, but once again, thank you for all you do!
